I reside in the Pacific Northwest with my two children and Gus, the cat. I have a great love for human resources but my personal experience with the department has been mostly unresourceful. Over the course of my career I've observed a shift from a focus on the human aspect to a more corporate or company-centric approach.
Motivated by this observation, I decided to start a consulting business, Insightful Human, with the goal of working with HR teams, guiding them on how to enhance their dynamics, inclusivity, intuition, and insightfulness. This, in turn, will enable them to make thoughtful leadership selections and create strategic performance plans. The outcome is more insightful workforce planning and the ability to keep employees engaged and away from burn-out.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I navigate the challenges of ADHD, which has impacted my experiences in various jobs. I aim to share the insights gained from years of on-the-job struggles. Understanding and effectively engaging neurodiverse individuals requires a unique approach. For those seeking to maximize workforce productivity, the key lies in understanding the myriad ways in which individuals can be motivated to perform.
As far as education goes, I have a B.A. in English Literature and a B.A. in Religious Studies. I also have a Master's in Business Administration.
